Explanation of the Video

Thanks for checking out rejoiceforlife.com!  This is a video that I (Pastor Tim) along with my friend (Jason Andera) did put together over the last couple of months.  As we launched this new church, we wanted to know who our community is and what their needs are.  So we went to downtown Sioux Falls and asked just one, simple question, “What can the Church Do for You?”  We discovered some very interesting things.

1.Sioux Falls is more diverse than we thought

2.The needs of Sioux Falls people is just as diverse

3.People in Sioux Falls are uncomfortable with strangers talking to them. (just look at the body language…therefore going door-to-door will be just as in effective in trying to bring people to our new church)

With all these discoveries, we have discerned that our new church must be grown through creating relationships and that we can never be a one-size-fits-all church.  Lastly, we further discovered in our conversations that there is a large number of spiritually hungry people for whom a traditional church simply does not work.
